Loveland Police Investigate Fatal Crash on November 18

Police are currently investigating a tragic incident that took place in Loveland on Monday, November 18th.

What Led to the Deadly Crash in Loveland?

Reports from Denver 7 confirmed that on Monday evening local law enforcement responded to a call to the area of W. Eisenhower Boulevard and Wilson Avenue. They were answering a call involving a single-vehicle crash in the area at around 7:00 PM.

Vehicle Drifted Into Oncoming Lanes Before Impact

Authorities discovered that a white Dodge truck was heading west along Eisenhower Boulevard when it sped up, started drifting left, and merged onto the eastbound lanes.

Truck Strikes Light Pole and Tree in Walgreens Parking Lot

Allegedly the driver drove onto the sidewalk and struck a light pole. This was all before it traveled down the embankment and hit a tree in the nearby Walgreen’s parking lot.

Driver Identified as 59-Year-Old Loveland Resident

Officials are not sharing too much information about the individual driving the vehicle. We do know that this driver was a 59-year-old Loveland resident and died at the scene.

They were the only person in the vehicle.

Intersection Temporarily Closed for Investigation

Following the incident, the intersection was closed for a half hour while authorities investigated. Crews worked to repair the damaged pole quickly.

After the initial investigation, officials believe that no alcohol or drugs were involved in the collision.
