Knifepoint carjacking reported at remote trailhead in Colorado

A terrifying situation unfolded at a Boulder County trailhead earlier this week, involving someone reportedly getting carjacked at knife point amid a string of alleged crimes.

According to a report from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the situation started with a November 16 domestic violence situation that originated in Denver, leading to a 24-year-old male suspect allegedly driving a female victim to the Caribou Trailhead, which is located in remote terrain along Caribou Road northwest of Nederland.

Once at the trailhead, the female victim was able to escape the vehicle when the suspect briefly stepped away, turning to community members in the parking lot for help…
