SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Central Utah has reported two measles cases, the first in the region, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 84.
According to a press release from the Central Utah Health Department (CUHD), both cases were in unvaccinated individuals who had recent contact with someone they believe had measles. Health officials say they have identified a small number of individuals who may be exposed to the two cases, but there are no further exposures or risks to the public at this time.
