GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Grovetown Police Department is implementing mental health awareness training to address the rising suicide rates among law enforcement officers.
Law enforcement officers witness traumatic scenes including dead bodies and other disturbing incidents that can impact their mental health over time. According to the FBI, nearly 800 officers died by suicide from 2017 to 2021.
After months of public debate, Columbia County is moving forward with its proposed data center project.
