BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Philip Peters, District One Board of Supervisor, announced November as National Adoption Awareness Month alongside his team from the Department of Human Services.
Cliff Taylor, program director for the Kern County Adoption Agency, emphasized the importance of adoption, stating, “In Kern County, we have over two thousand children within foster care. And many of these children will ultimately need a permanent, stable home.”
He also highlighted the critical role of adoptive parents, saying, “Today we especially want to honor the adoptive parents who are individuals who’ve opened their hearts and homes to children in need.”…
