CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Multiple people are facing charges after being arrested earlier this year in a multi-agency undercover sting operation targeting potential child sexual predators, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office led the investigation dubbed “Operation Online Guardian” alongside the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, during which law enforcement posed as minors under the age of 14 on social media to catch individuals attempting to communicate with children.
