Several artists have been announced to perform at the Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Today the first artist to open the venue has been announced.
The Acrisure Amphitheater
The Acrisure Amphitheater is a new 12,000-seat outdoor concert and event venue being built in downtown Grand Rapids, alongside the Grand River. Construction began in May of 2024, and the progress has been amazing for the first year and a half. The crew is on target to have construction completed by spring 2026.
The venue will have 7,000 fixed seats and 5,000 lawn seats. The fixed seats are located in the upper and lower concourses, and include suites and a VIP pavilion, giving attendees lots of options to choose from when purchasing tickets.
So far, shows like Machine Gun Kelly, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Foreigner, and Motley Crue have been announced along with many others. There will be more announcements coming for a variety of artists and genres.
First Lineup for the Grand Opening Show at Acrisure Amphitheater
According to the Acrisure Amphitheater, Lionel Richie will be the first artist to headline the grand opening of the venue on Friday, May 15. Supporting Richie will be Michigan artists The War and Treaty, and Brian Vander Ark (The Verve Pipe).
