SLED charges third man in ‘gang-style attack’ on Greenville County inmate

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged a third man on Tuesday in connection with a gang-style attack at the Greenville County Detention Center that happened in March.

According to arrest warrants, Brendan Gregory Taylor, 28, along with Calvin Lee Thompson Jr., 27, and Tishone Dunlap-Wright, 23, worked together to assault another inmate on March 30.

Officials said the victim suffered “significant” blunt force trauma, severe internal bleeding and went into cardiac arrest. The victim was resuscitated but had to have surgery to remove their spleen and portions of their pancreas…
