Beverage packer’s new Kentwood site to employ hundreds

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — A West Michigan-based beverage packer is expected to create up to 400 jobs after it opens a new facility in Kentwood.

Proper Beverage Co. says its new 300,000-square-foot co-manufacturing will open in the middle of next year and, when at full capacity, put out 225 million cans annually. It’s expected to create 100 jobs to start, but eventually reach as many as 400.

Proper Beverage’s current 60,000-square-foot facility in Hudsonville will remain open to serve smaller and mid-sized brands.
