Hays Farm park grand opening called off

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The grand opening of South Huntsville’s newest green space, The Park at Hays Farm, has been cancelled just one day before the scheduled ceremony.

The ribbon-cutting event, originally set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. was called off on Tuesday according to a notice posted by organizers. The announcement stated simply that the opening has been “canceled until further notice,” without immediately providing a specific reason for the delay or a rescheduled date.

The cancellation comes on the heels of an enthusiastic announcement inviting the public to celebrate the official opening of the nine-acre urban park.
