Memphis man exonerated after 36 years in prison

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man has been officially exonerated after spending 36 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

Eric Wright has stood by his innocence since the day he was arrested in 1989.

He was charged in connection to a robbery and shooting in South Memphis and sentenced to 1500 years in prison…
