Artists and photographers flock to Lexington’s Catalpa Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One of Lexington’s top attractions each fall is a short road with a long reputation.

“I think it’s the prettiest street in the world, at least for three or four days in November,” homeowner on Catapla Road, Robert Adams, said.

The road is lined with cars and people each November because a century ago, somebody lined it with trees that like to show off.

Artist Jon Gaddis has been coming to Catalpa Road for the past four years, setting up an easel on one corner to paint the glorious scene before him. He is often interrupted by sightseers who look over his shoulder as he puts brush to canvas, something he doesn’t mind a bit…
