MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A major makeover is set to begin at Mobile’s Taylor Park Recreational Center, after the city approved a $6 million contract on Tuesday.

City leaders say the project is long overdue. Plans include a new 8,000 square-foot community center.
“Pretty much this whole facility is going to be redone. We are going to try and get rid of this pool house over here to my right, and we’re going to rebuild it, and then we’re also going to connect a community center,” said City Council President CJ Small.
