Hermitage residents frustrated by speeding in their neighborhood

HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Families in the Hermitage neighborhood, The Bonnas, are asking Metro to do something about the increased number of speeders that fly through their neighborhood.

Bonnahurst Drive specifically sees plenty of traffic due to the number of young families and children who live in the neighborhood. But drivers using the road as a cut-through from Lebanon Pike to Old Hickory Boulevard are making it difficult for residents to fully enjoy their properties.

Karme Crocker told News 2 she’s lived on Bonnarhurst for more than 20 years, and the traffic has only gotten worse.

Recently, she said she’s noticed many people fly down the road in order to get to the back of the neighborhood. It’s gotten so bad, she said, families with children are starting worry about letting them play in their front yards…
