A suspected shoplifter was arrested after making a return trip to Target at Rolling Acres Plaza in The Villages.
Security personnel at the store spotted 33-year-old Roxanne Trisha Anderson of Inverness entering the store around 3:20 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Recognizing her as a previous shoplifting suspect, the security officers alerted loss prevention to her presence.
The loss prevention team leader kept an eye on Anderson who put cat litter, pet food, rice and miscellaneous home goods into her shopping cart. She then went to the front of the store, passing empty checkout lanes, and left her cart as she went into the bathroom. She later returned to her cart only to pass all points of sale with $59.15 in merchandise, the report said.
A subsequent check of her criminal history revealed a prior arrest for retail theft in Citrus County on Oct. 30, the report said…
