Ocala man sentenced to 10 years for robbing convenience store at gunpoint

An Ocala man who robbed a local convenience store at gunpoint in June 2024 has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced that 23-year-old Johnisaac Felix has been sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for interference with commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. He was also ordered to forfeit the firearm and ammunition used in the offenses.

Felix pleaded guilty to the charges in February of 2025.

According to the Ocala Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Marathon convenience store located at 3620 E Silver Springs Boulevard on June 16, 2024, in reference to an armed robbery incident…
