National Naval Aviation Museum is Open Again!

After a brief closure due to the recent government shutdown, the National Naval Aviation Museum at Naval Air Station Pensacola reopened to the public on Friday, Nov. 14! Admission is FREE for all visitors. Guests can once again explore the museum’s world-class collection of naval aircraft, interactive exhibits, flight simulators, and the iconic Blue Angels display.

Public access to NAS Pensacola will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. via the West Gate, located at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway. All visitors 18 years and older must present a REAL ID or valid U.S. passport. Foreign nationals must be escorted by a U.S. citizen driver who will undergo a background check at the visitor center. All vehicles and personnel are subject to security searches.

In accordance with museum and base security regulations, all bags must comply with the Clear Bag Policy:

  • Bags must be transparent, clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size.
  • Small clutch bags (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”) are permitted.
  • Backpacks, large purses, or non-clear bags are not allowed.

Parking is free but limited; once parking lots reach capacity, base access may be restricted…
