New Housing District Brings More Options for Santa Rosa Residents

The City of Santa Rosa is moving forward with the implementation of its General Plan 2050, adopted by the City Council in June 2025. The council has approved changes to the Municipal Code, Zoning Code, and Zoning Map.

The city has established the Missing Middle Housing (MMH) Combining District and applied it to 1,991 parcels. This aims to allow more housing types, including duplexes, triplexes, and courtyard apartments.
