Salvation Army helping to feed Toledo families for Thanksgiving

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Although it’s chilly outside, it was a heart-warming day at The Salvation Army. Volunteers packed Thanksgiving boxes for families in need on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, those families received the meals. Now, 500 families in Toledo don’t need to worry about going hungry for Thanksgiving this year.

“Being here makes a big impact for our family,” said Harley Sifuentes, who received a Thanksgiving meal.

Sifuentes is a mother of five. She says she’s been sick for the last year and a half. This takes a lot of weight off her shoulders…
