CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Nueces County jury has sentenced Abraham Anzaldua to life in prison without the possibility of parole after finding him guilty of capital murder in the brutal killing of his mother. Prosecutors argued that Anzaldua attacked his mother while she lay in bed, striking her multiple times with a machete before placing a bag over her head.
