MADISON, Wis. — Devonte Gafford was sentenced to life in prison for shooting and killing 20-year-old Devon Grant outside the Harmony Apartments on Madison’s far east side in 2023.
Gafford, 34, was sentenced for first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime, 10 years of possessing firearm while convicted of a felony. Gafford will receive five years of extended supervision for that crime, and 12 and a half years for first-degree recklessly endangering safety and will receive five years extended supervision.
