After more than three weeks, a kidnapped puppy was returned to its family after being stolen.
The puppy, a five-month-old micro exotic bully named Bluey, was taken from his family’s Garden City home on Oct. 22. According to a Facebook post from the Greeley Police Department, its Real Time Information Center looked through surveillance video during the first week searching for information on the suspect. A suspect and their getaway vehicle were identified in the second week after the kidnapping, but the vehicle was found abandoned in the third week.
All hope was not lost, however, when Garden City Police Department Officer Alyssa Bird figured out the general area of the suspect’s location. With the help of the Eaton Colorado Police Department, Officer Bird found the suspect’s residence and the dog, ultimately able to safely returned him to his family…
