DENVER (KDVR) — The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information for a cold case from 1973 that involved a teenage girl from Redondo Beach.
The remains of 15-year-old Roxanne Leadbeater were discovered in Weld County on Nov. 19, 1973.

Investigators said that the cause, manner of death and how she arrived in Colorado remain unknown, but the case has remained open due to the suspicious nature surrounding it.
When her remains were recovered, she was deemed “Jane Doe 1973.” In April of 2022, her remains were exhumed from the Linn Grove Cemetery, DNA was collected, and sent to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to see if there were any possible matches…
