SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —Many homeless people have to carry around all their possessions. That’s why the St. Francis House is hosting its Walk a Mile event this weekend.
“We walk the mile from that Memorial up to the St. Francis House, carrying a backpack of 15 pounds of nonperishable items so that we can share those with our partner agencies on Tuesday, December 2nd,” CEO, St. Francis House, Julie Becker said.
People at the event are encouraged to fill a backpack ahead of coming to the event, with the items then being given to those who need it…
