San Mateo officer saves kitten wedged in Tesla

(KRON) — A San Mateo Police Department officer came to the rescue when a scared kitten was found under the hood of a Tesla earlier this month.

Officer Daniel Figueroa contacted the car’s owner, who reported a noise coming from under the hood. Rather than a mechanical issue, Figueroa found “a pair of glowing eyes staring back from the darkness,” San Mateo police said.

Figueroa determined that the kitten was wedged in tightly, so he “rolled up his sleeves” and performed a delicate extraction, police said.

The kitten was collected by The Purrfect Catch Foundation and was appropriately named “Figueroa” after the officer who saved her…
