High school seniors in the Kent Intermediate School District can apply for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Inherit the Dream Scholarship at Grand Rapids Community College. The scholarship provides $1,000 to students who show leadership, service, and a commitment to equity and inclusion. More than sixty students have received this scholarship since it began.
The scholarship is named after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. GRCC and the Bob and Aleicia Woodrick Center for Inclusion and Multicultural Affairs created the award to support students who show leadership and promote inclusion.
Winners are recognized at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration in January. To apply, students must answer two prompt questions, submit a letter of recommendation, and provide a high school transcript. Applications are due by email by December 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m…
