Children’s Hospital Los Angeles experienced an unexpected power outage on Wednesday, forcing the cancellation of all outpatient clinic appointments for the rest of the day, officials said.
The outage was first reported around 10:54 a.m. at the hospital’s main campus on Sunset Boulevard, according to a statement from CHLA. Hospital officials said “ongoing power issues impacting operations” prompted the decision to shut down outpatient services for the day.
