News13 exclusive: Mother of Peaches Corner deadly shooting teen victim claims innocence

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A 17-year-old accused of murder at Peaches Corner in Myrtle Beach is now out on bond and house arrest.

Evany McCray of Conway also faces charges of assault of a high and aggravated nature, unlawful possession of a pistol, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He will also be tried as an adult, according to the 15th circuit solicitor’s office.

The incident happened at 11:15 p.m. on June 27 following a fight between McCray, an employee at Peaches Corner, and 18-year-old Grayson Meyers of Myrtle Beach. Meyers was shot and killed, while another person was struck in the leg and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries…
