Lebanon Police Department officers successfully recovered a stolen car after a chase that ended near the I-840 interchange, according to a post on their official social media channels. The car, a Hyundai Sonata, had been reported stolen in Nashville earlier the same day. The Lebanon Police Department was alerted by the SafeNet system, which led to a rapid response from the department’s officers.
The vehicle was located at a Walmart parking lot. When the Lebanon PD attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver tried to evade them, leading to a chase. However, the pursuit was short-lived; officers managed to safely bring the car to a halt on I-40 West. Both the driver and the passenger turned out to be juveniles, with the driver being only 14 years old. “Several charges are pending against the juvenile driver,” the Lebanon Police Department stated.
