Elderly man struck by cement truck in Williamsburg, investigation ongoing

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — An elderly man was critically injured after being struck by a cement truck in Williamsburg on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Police said it happened at approximately 1:40 p.m. in front of Monticello Marketplace, located in the 4600 block of Monticello Avenue.

Upon arrival, James City County Police and Fire units discovered an elderly man had been struck by a cement truck while crossing the street using a walker. He was found unresponsive at the scene and taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries…
