Rancho Cordova woman’s heroic actions save man from house fire, officials say

A Rancho Cordova woman’s quick thinking and brave actions reportedly helped save a man when his house caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

Ashley Rand-Estrada had just picked her son up from school and was driving near Zinfandel Drive when she noticed smoke near the area of a home, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

She pulled over and ran to the front of the house, where she attempted to alert whoever might have been inside that the fire was spreading to the exterior from a nearby shed engulfed in flames, fire personnel said…
