Battle Against Incompetence: A Patient’s Struggle with TMH’s Outsourced Billing System

A patient of TMH (Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare) has expressed frustration over the handling of their medical bills. The patient alleges that TMH is threatening to send them to collections for bills that have already been paid by TriCare/Humana Military. Despite having proof of payments in the form of EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and check numbers, the patient claims that the newly outsourced billing call center staff have been dismissive and uncooperative. The staff have reportedly refused to contact TriCare or accept copies of the EOBs. The patient’s attempts to resolve the issue through the TMH complaint line have so far been unsuccessful.
