After 43 years, Iowa City’s Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican restaurant is closed.
The business at 1406 S. Gilbert St., Iowa City, quietly shuttered on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and signage from the building has been removed.
“Thank you for 43 years of celebration, support, and good memories,” reads a sign on the door. “We are still operating at our Cedar Rapids location…We look forward to still having the opportunity to serve you.”…
