WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – MoMere has been a fixture in Valley Junction for twelve years now, but co-owners Kay Schiller and Meredith Wells say it’s time for a change.
Reflecting on the last 12 years, the mother-daughter duo is especially thankful for the relationships they’ve formed with their customers.
“In 12 years we’ve seen children grow up, we’ve seen kids go off to college, we’ve seen families go through their ups and downs too, and that’s what I really think is important about community,” said Wells.

They’ve been fully committed to the business over the years. Schiller, mother to Wells, said, “You know they always talk about work-life balance, we don’t know that. We are very Type A people.” She reflects that they are constantly trying to think about what they can do better, differently, or add for their customers…
