Woman pleads no contest in fatal crash case

LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. — A woman charged in a fatal crash last year has taken a plea deal.

According to Lancaster County District Court records, Cindy Martinez, 24, pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of false reporting. In exchange for her plea, prosecutors reduced the charge from leaving the scene of a crash resulting in serious bodily injury or death.
