Winrock eyes holidays as start of bright future

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The holiday season is here and there are some events coming up over the next month or so to get you in the spirit of the season:

  • River of Lights at Albuquerque BioPark Botanic Garden opens Nov. 29
  • Old Town Tree Lighting: Dec. 5
  • Twinkle Light Parade in Nob Hill: Dec. 6
  • ABQ Ride Luminaria Tours: Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve)

If those events are too late, then Winrock Town Center has an event even earlier than that. They’re lighting up a 25-foot Christmas tree inside Winrock Park the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28. Then, they’re bringing back the Winrock Wonderland Holiday Market the following day, Nov. 29.

The market will feature 100 vendors on-site, plus live performances, refreshments and other festivities to enjoy while you shop.

The holidays are just the start for Winrock

Winrock developers said they want people in New Mexico to start thinking of Winrock as a new city hub. They’re set for the next big addition – a reimagined food hall.
