Attorney accused of crashing into DUI checkpoint fails to show for 2 hearings

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Bakersfield attorney accused of driving drunk when he crashed into a DUI checkpoint, injuring California Highway Patrol officers, has twice failed to show for court hearings this month.

A defense attorney on Wednesday cited “medical unavailability” for William Charles Wright’s absence.
