THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Bronx mom is accused of abandoning her newborn son in front of an apartment on Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday.
Authorities found the baby wrapped in a blanket in a bag in front of the apartment at 689 East 223rd St. near White Plains Road at around 12:11 p.m., according to the NYPD. The umbilical cord was still attached, sources said.
The boy was conscious and alert and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
