HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail earlier this week after authorities say he admitted to trying to use someone else’s credit card at a local business.
Authorities say a man reported that he misplaced his credit card in front of the Evansville Civic Center, and an unknown suspect attempted to make a purchase. The man told authorities that after he realized his card was missing, he contacted the credit card company to lock the card. He reported that a short time later someone attempted to use the card at a store on East Virginia Street for $1.38.
Authorities used security camera footage to identify Darius Gibson, 29, as the person trying to make the purchase. According to an affidavit, Gibson was seen on footage attempting to make the purchase with the card, and then throwing it across the parking lot…
