In a remarkable display of community solidarity, over 1,700 people in Durham have registered with Siembra, a local organization, in the past two days to patrol, report, and protect their neighbors. These volunteers are stepping up to help in various ways, from being present at schools, delivering food, to documenting and opposing the alleged masked men kidnapping their neighbors.
