EDEN, N.C. — Deputies arrested Michael Vernon on Tuesday night for four counts of second-degree murder without regard, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. He also faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in the April 24 crash that killed four linemen in Eden.
A true bill of indictment for the new charges came down around 5 p.m. Tuesday, and Vernon was arrested that evening.
