Burglary at Grand Rapids Community College Learning Center

On Nov. 19, Grand Rapids Community College sent out a timely warning notice to students and staff, alerting the campus community to a burglary reported at the Grand Rapids Community College Learning Center, which is currently undergoing renovations.

The burglary occurred sometime between 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 19, with power tools being the items stolen from the Learning Center.

The Grand Rapids Community College Police Department is currently investigating and urges anyone with information to call them at 616-234-4010 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345. GRCC PD urges readers to take precautions to prevent a similar incident from occurring. Namely, they urge those working on campus to secure offices, classrooms, and buildings when unattended, and remind everyone not to allow suspicious people into offices, classrooms, or buildings, and to keep any valuables locked up and out of sight.
