Florida 8-year-old stabs grandmother to save mom during murder attempt: deputies

ORANGE PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — An 8-year-old girl stabbed her grandmother to protect her mother during a murder attempt Monday, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office reported that around 3 p.m., CCSO deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 600 block of Reese Avenue in the Oakleaf area.

The caller was later determined to be the victim and could be heard throughout the call yelling for an individual to leave her home.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim had gotten into a fight with her estranged mother, 62-year-old Serpil Adams. Deputies said Adams showed up at the victim’s home uninvited…
