Stockton appoints Johnny Ford as new city manager after nearly year-long search

Stockton has been without a manager since January. The former manager, Harry Black, resigned in January after five years in office. It is unclear why he stepped down, but shortly after, the council voted 4-3 in a controversial motion to appoint Steve Colangelo as the interim city manager. Colangelo was recently accused of misusing taxpayer funds and is currently under criminal investigation.
