A Palmetto woman died while attempting to cross U.S. 301 in Bradenton on Wednesday night, troopers say.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 25-year-old woman was walking along the side of the road around 10:30 p.m. when she attempted to cross the northbound lane of the highway. Investigators say that’s when a Lincoln sedan, traveling north in the left lane, crashed into the woman.
The driver, an 80-year-old man from Bradenton, sustained no injuries in the collision. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol…
