AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Amarillo has released the service schedule for the week of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Thanksgiving week schedule
- City Hall will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28.
- Amarillo City Transit will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will resume operating a normal schedule on Friday, Nov. 28.
- The Amarillo Public Library System will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 28. All APL locations will resume normal hours on Saturday, Nov. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 30.
- All city golf courses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and return to normal hours of operation on Friday, Nov. 28.
- Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 28. Payments may be made at the drop-box in the foyer of the Amarillo Police Department or online.
The Thanksgiving week schedule for trash pickup:
- Residential Collection: Thursday routes will be serviced on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Friday routes will operate on a normal schedule.
- Commercial Collection: Thursday routes will be serviced on Friday, Nov. 28. Friday routes will operate on a normal schedule.
- Curbside Collection: No curbside collection service will be available on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.
- Brush Sites/Landfill: Brush sites will be open on their regular days of Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. The landfill will be closed on Thursday and will reopen on Friday, Nov. 28.
