Man shot, killed by OKC Police officers identified

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man who was shot and killed by police officers Tuesday morning in northwest Oklahoma City has been identified, according to authorities.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says officers responded to a reported machete attack near Northwest 7th Street and Council Road.

After arriving at the scene, officers confronted the reported suspect, identified as 62-year-old Albert Benson, who was still wielding the alleged weapon used in the attack.

OCPD says officers attempted to convince Benson to drop the weapon; however, Benson yelled at officers to kill him…
