Lincoln Parks and Recreation staff plan to conduct a controlled burn at Pioneers Park Nature Center on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The Nature Center is located at 3201 S. Coddington Avenue. The burn is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will cover 42 acres south of the Chet Ager building and Haines Branch. Visitors are advised to avoid the area during this time.
