Verdict reached for Nebraska man accused of 150+ mile pursuit

STANTON COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — A jury has returned a verdict for a man charged in a February pursuit.

Tyler Kocian, 29, was found guilty of the following charges: use of a weapon to commit a felony, criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, and willful reckless driving.

The verdict arrived via jury, and stems from a high-speed pursuit through multiple Nebraska counties, spanning more than 150 miles. Authorities reported Kocian ran from law enforcement after he was suspected of stealing liquor from a store. The pursuit started in Holt County and led through Norfolk, Stanton County, Madison County, Cuming County, West Point, and Blair.
