How to apply for DC ERAP

WASHINGTON — Appointments to apply for D.C.’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program opened Thursday morning, and it’s a little confusing how to make one. The official ERAP website is overwhelmed, and it takes around a half an hour to get in. Here’s what you need to know — without waiting to get into the website.

The No. 1 thing to know is that you cannot make an appointment online. You must call 202-507-6666, or go in-person to the Virginia Williams Family Resource Center. Applications will only be accepted by appointments, so you need to do one of those two things to apply.
